Roman Day

Roman Day – 5th December 2024

Well... What a Fabulous Roman Day!

Our school was transported back to ancient Rome for a day filled with fun, learning, and creativity. A huge thank you to everyone for their incredible effort and enthusiasm, especially for the wonderful costumes—you all looked fantastic and truly brought the Roman spirit to life!

Here’s a glimpse of our action-packed day:

🧮 Roman Numeral Challenge
We kicked things off with a brain-teasing Roman numeral challenge. Students impressed us with their problem-solving skills and quick thinking while cracking the ancient Roman numbering system.

🎨 Mosaic Creations
Next, our students became Roman artists, designing mosaics with tiles and wooden bases. The creativity and attention to detail were remarkable, and the results were stunning patterns inspired by authentic Roman art.

🏗️ Aqueduct Building Activity
In a fun, hands-on teamwork challenge, students constructed their own aqueducts using various materials. This activity encouraged collaboration and problem-solving, giving students a real taste of Roman engineering ingenuity.

🍞 Roman Spelt Bread Baking
To complete our immersive experience, students tried their hands at making Roman spelt bread! While the taste and texture got mixed reviews, everyone enjoyed the process, gaining a deeper appreciation of Roman daily life and culinary traditions.

It’s been a fantastic day of immersive learning, where history truly came alive. Thank you again for making Roman Day a memorable success!
